Genki 3 grammar points. 手伝ってくれない！

Hi Guys,
I'm in need of some service....
Currently I am using Genki 3 and I'm studying in advanced because I'll be taking Japanese 6 upcoming fall semester.
I am already in chapter 10 and I understand the material perfectly, however, I am stuck on a few grammar points.
In chapter 7
1)的に （attaches to nouns )
2)面白いことに (expresses a speakers emotional response )
in chapter 6,
1）化（suffix attaches to kanji compounds and expresses the idea of になるand にする）
I understand the use of ところ、 ばかり、けど、and ただ。I am just not sure whether to use them in the right situation.
Example,
すしを食べたばかり
すしを食べたところ
もうすしを食べた
すしを食べてしまった
すしを食べ終わりました
I would be truly grateful if someone can please explain the chapter 6 and 7 grammar points in detail and provide at least 2 sentences each, and to please explain the ending, and to clarify if my sentences are proper within the Japanese language?

Your examples are all grammatically correct, but the expressions ところ, ばかり, けど or ただ have many meanings, for instance, すしを食べたばかりだ and すしを食べたばかりに are completely different in meaning. Do you mean you know the difference by "I understand the use"? Or, do you want to know the difference among them when they basically mean "have eaten"?

Hi,

I understand them but how would I know when to use them at the appropriate time. Example, if I finished studying, can I use 今日の夜にはもう勉強し終わった。would it also be fine if I used勉強したばかりだ or 勉強したところ？I am unsure because Japanese has so many ways of saying the same thing.
Can you please explain what ばかりに means? I know ばかりbut not ばかりに。

And can you please explain the grammar points I listed from chapter 6 and 7? I wil be very grateful.

すしを食べたばかりだ
have just finished eating
This expression often used in a context "so I can't eat anymore" or "so I don't need to eat anymore".

すしを食べたところだ
This is similar to ばかり especially when used with ちょうど, but doesn't have the nuance of "so I can't / don't need anymore".

もうすしを食べた
have already eaten

すしを食べてしまった
This has a negative connotation of "regret".

すしを食べ終わった
have finished eating
Unlike ばかり, this doesn't have a nuance of "just finished".

今日の夜にはもう can't be used with those two expressions. (ところだ can be used, but the meaning changes to "the topic I studied".)

Indeed. But they are not always interchangeable.

ばかりに indicates the cause/reason. This has a negative nuance, similar to せいで, so the main clause should be a negative thing.
e.g.
すしを食べたばかりに（＝すしを食べたせいで）、食中 毒になってしまった。

What do you want to know specifically, examples for instance?

I don't understand them at all!

Very confusing.

If you can explain them to me grammar wise and use examples and translating the sentences, I will be very grateful. Genki 3 book doesn't explain the grammar points too well.
