Well because most americans have ancestry from somewhere else, and is only 247 years old as a countryThe issue is not about mixed-race or ethnic background but calling somebody born and raised in Japan a gaijin.

No, but alot of japanese comments that refer to her as firipinjin
i guess it depends, many hafu experience being seen as foreigner in JapanWell, I don't think those opinions are in the majority. As you can see in the following links, there are so many half Japanese celebrities in Japan. I don't think they are "Gaijin" at all, including 今森茉耶. (I'm Japanese, by the way.)
