Gackt before altering face

It doesnt change who he is as a person, or as an artist, so it doesnt really affect me

I get tired of people spreading lies about Gackt as fact. Most of these picture comparisons "showing" how much plastic surgery has had Gackt always compare photo shopped pictures of Gackt to either unphoto-shopped pictures or other photo-shopped pictures of Gackt.

When you compare an unmodified picture of Gackt to a unmodified one of him as teenager though he looks near exactly the same. Heres a comparison demonstrating that fact.

p.s. Also someone here tried to claim that you can't modify someones face with airbrushing. Please don't share your ignorance. First of all airbrushing is an archaic term for what is now known as digital imaging or photo manipulation. Anyone with an adequately powerful graphics editor and knowledge can easily make anyone look however they want in a photograph. Using the gimp I could make Gackt look black if I wanted to.

First of all, you have no proof that they are lies. And we are not saying they are fact. We are simply debating the issue... which is getting tiresome to be honest. Yes, there are photoshopped pictures of Gackt, but there are interviews and live shows where you can tell his face is completely different. In those pictures you provide, his face has changed. It could just be through age, but I would be interested in the year that the second photo was taken. You can't say that the differences in his face between Malice Mizer and Solo are all completely photoshopped.

They may be lies, but they may be the truth. The only person that knows for sure is Gackt. Well... and the plastic surgeon he may or may not have. To me, it seems obvious that he has had some work done, but if he has not, I will eat my words. Michael Jackson spent years denying he had as much surgery as we all knew he had. It doesn't mean it didn't happen. We can't always take their word for it.

Now, can we please agree that it doesn't matter whether he has had work done or not. I don't understand the fan-girls who deny it as if we're accusing him of some kind of sex crime, and I don't understand the people who slate him for it. If he had it, he had it. Simple as.
Are we all honestly saying that if Plastic Surgery was 100% safe and free (or if we could afford it), there is nothing we would change?

The second picture was taken 2008 during the Kenshin festival nine years after Gackt left Malice Mizer. I find it interesting that you accuse me of having no proof yet I provided evidence comparing Gackt's face as a teenager to him as an adult. You on the other hand have provided no counter evidence. You claim that he looks different in his television appearances. If so then where are your screen caps demonstrating these differences? The photo I provided was a direct shot of Gackt in daylight which is as natural a photo that anyone can get of Gackt since photo's from magazine photo shoots (the majority of Gackt photos on the internet I might add) are frequently digitally edited. What evidence do you have that is better than that?

We're not talking about a serious issue here, we're debating if a guy that none of us are ever likely to meet had some surgery. Some of us think he did, and some of us think he didn't. The argument will never end unless Gackt himself creates an account and either confirms or denies the surgery, so can somebody please close this thread and let us get on with our lives?

And no, I am not wussing out because I have no 'evidence.' I just think that this argument is pointless. I am not going to scour the internet for 'screen caps' to provide a counter argument when it is pointless to do so. The pictures displaying his differences are no less reliable than yours showing your lack of differences. And no, you can't say that they are all photoshopped apart from the ones you posted. Seconded on that, Kirie, It's a shame that this thread has not been locked. this thread has become pointless as this has become a futile witch hunt....for what? to see it a celebrity went under the knife. Really. people with this kind of witch hunt mentality (as if they were the authority on how all human beings should be) need to get their priorities in order, SO WHAT if Gackt had surgery! It's time to lock and shut down this thread before some anti-Gackt Troll makes a long winded witch hunt post to justify theur dislike of Gackt.
