Fun film to see

is Kung Fu Hustle. A Stephen Chow film that is just nuts. It seems to be a p!$$ take of martial arts films. The fight scenes are obviously Matix inspired, but done much better and tongue firmly in cheek. It isn't award winning stuff, but it will cheer you up.

Yeah, good stuff. That Shaolin/Shorin Soccer flik was cute too and done in the same vein (same director I think). You should check that out as well if you get a chance.

Thanks for that. I will have to search for it. That seems to be the main problem to see Japanese/Chinese/Korean films in Europe, you have to find shops that stock them. Thank the Gods for online stores and ebay

Kung Fu Hustle is funny. I love the landlady! I haven't seen Shaolin Soccer, but my husband says it is even better then Kung Fu Hustle.

I've seen Kung-Fu Hustle and Stephen Chow is a genius as that movie is absolutely insane! The Axe Gang was a hoot with the suits, top hats and the dancing, the landlady with the monster vocal cords stole the show. That "Road Runner" sequence when she's chasing Chow's character was a scream! Then there's the last battle scene which was right out of DBZ. I recommend Kung-Fu Hustle greatly! It's a fun movie! And yeah, it's out on DVD!
