Fukuoka - Places to Sleep

Don't get a hotel, it's a waste. Get somebody you know in Fukuoka or Hakata to lend you some sleeping space. Offer them some money.

Yeah, or go to a hostel. There are a few there when I visited and seemed clean. If you insist on a hotel, go all out and stay at the Daiei Hawks hotel. Wow, what a place!

If your business there can be done in the course of a single day, you might look into the availability of overnight bus service.

The way it works is:

Leave late in the evening, travel overnight, arrive very early (6-7) the next morning.
Freshen up, do your business that day, catch the bus back that night, arrive home early the following morning. Go to work.

It's an economical way to get to a distant city, spend a full day taking care of business, and only miss a single day from your normal routine. The fares aren't that bad, and you save on hotel costs by sleeping on the bus.

The big problem with this, of course, is sleeping on the bus.

Good idea Mikecash! :joyful:

I can ask my girlfriend about some possible cheap hotels. I kinda doubt she knows of any though. But hey, it's worth a shot.

Yeah the hostels aren't bad, much cheaper then hotels.
