Fragmented phrases

This is a song lyrics I am using for a translation assignment. I was wondering if the examples below would be considered fragments, since the verb comes first.

Ex.
futari de nigebasho sagashite
hashitta tenki ame no naka​

I think the singer switched the verb and noun phrase so that the "ta" and "ka" rhymed and fit into the music. Am I right in assuming that it would equivalent to "We ran. In the rain" ?
also in this part, would the bolded phrases be similar fragments?

jibun no subete wo yuruseru kurai ni
yasashiku naritai
kimi no tame ni

kono sekai ni afureru hikari dake
ryoute no naka atsumete
kurayami sae mo terashidasu yo
nagaku tsudzuku michi
mayowanai you ni​

Each paragraphs(the two lines and three lines) are a single sentence. In lyrics, the order of words is generally changed to fit the music by its length or the numbers of syllables.

futari de nigebasho sagashite hashitta tenki ame no naka
(in ordinal order)Tenki ame no naka, futari de nigebasho (wo) sagashite hashitta.

jibun no subete wo yuruseru kurai ni yasashiku naritai kimi no tame ni
(in ordinal order)Kimi no tame ni, jibun no subete wo yuruseru kurai ni yasashiku naritai.

"Tenki ame" means "sunny rain" or "sudden rainfall in the sunshine", and not just simple rain.

If you ever want to experience an exercise in frustration, try explaining rhyming to Japanese people sometime. Trust me: a desire to rhyme had nothing to do with those lyrics. (Even English poems/songs didn't use rhyming until something like the 13th century, I believe it was).

Is it safe to say 天気雨の中 and 君のために are relative clauses? And even though they can be put at the end of the phrase, can the verb phrases be moved as much? ex:

走った
逃げ場所探して
二人で
天気雨の中

would this make sense? I'd think 逃げ場所探して走った would have to remain in the in this order.

No. Both are the adverbial phrases (副詞句 in Japanese grammar). They are modifying the verbs, 走った and 優しくなりたい, respectively.

The order you gave has the same meaning as the original, i.e., 天気雨の中、二人で逃げ場所探して走った. Again, it often occurs in lyrics. But, yes, there are many exceptions, of course. One of the examples would be 逃げ場所走った. 逃げ場所 could be interpreted as the location of the action in this order(逃げ場所を/で走った or "ran in the refuge").

thanks so much for the information. it's very interesting how flexible the word order can be.
I don't want to take up space with a new thread, so I am hoping someone can check to see if my translation is correct for the chorus:
この世界に生まれたその意味を
君と見つけに行こう
痛みさえも
抱えながら
新しい景色
もっと遠くまで
迎えに行こう
My translation: I go with you to find the meaning of my birth in this world, even if it is painful. While holding each other, let us go further and welcome new sights.
I was a bit confused with 生まれたその意味を, because I'm not sure whose birth is being referred to. Also, with 痛みさえも, I'm not sure if the singer mean pain while finding meaning or pain while welcoming new sights.
I also might be completely off. I basically used a Particle reference book and a verb chart to piece together my translation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, is the chorus also inverted from usual word order?

I think it's "the meaning that we were born", not just two of us but "we" in the general meaning.

痛みさえも抱えながら is a single clause, and both interpretations, "I will go to find the meaning while holding the pain" and "I will go to get new sights while holding the pain", are possible.

This might be a good example of the word order change, too. If it's この世界に生まれたその意味を君と見つけに行こう痛みさえも without 抱えながら, it would be barely possible to interpret 痛みさえも as the object of 見つけに行こう. Although I would use (たとえ)痛みでも/痛みだとしても for the case, instead of 痛みさえも. ("Even if it is painful" should be 痛くても.) But, actually, the verb 抱える usually requires the object to be stated. So, we can't put another noun/noun phrase between 痛みさえも and 抱えながら, as same as for the case of 逃げ場所探して. For instance, the order 痛みさえも新しい景色抱えながら has completely different meaning to the original; "while even the pain is holding new sights".
