Hate is pretty strong reaction, though, don't you think? I've seen true hate in another person's eyes, and it's a very intense emotion.

I generally have a positive view of Japanese people as a whole. Of course, there are probably Japanese people I wouldn't like. I've come quite a ways from blindly hating Japanese for the Pearl Harbor bombings when I first heard of it in like, Third Grade, and have since realized the sins of the past have nothing to do with the people of the present (Thank you, Attack on Titan).

And some even have shown up on JREF over the years , LOL. I think a lot of bad feelings are caused by not understanding a country's customs and different way of that country's thinking process than one's own country. I think age also has a lot to do with being annoyed with other people. At 76 , I find people from every country annoying at times , LOL.

I agree.

It's generally not good to generalize an entire ethnicity or race based on just a few people you met.

Hey, while I'm here, does anyone have any advice for reading Japanese credits before a movie or TV show starts? Do I read them like I would while reading Tategaki? Or do I read them like left to right, or both?
