Do the Japanese eat rat?

I think Malcom X said that pork is a cross between rat and dog, or something like that. So, I guess you could say that Japanese eat rat, and dog.

That is disguesting, I dont eat pork anyways so I doesnt matter to me.:)

I have heard stories told by elderly Okinawan people that ate field rats and mice as meat subsitutes during the occupation by Japanese Imperial Troops leading up to, during, and after the Battle of Okinawa during WWII. People here were subject to eating all different types of "food" that today would turn the stomachs of just about all people writing here, including me.

There is a soba-ya in northern Okinawa that was also famous at one time for using cat meat as the "soup-base" many, many, many years ago.
