Maybe you guys and gals already know this, but I found the way to disable the annoying pop up for windows security alert was to go into the control panel and open up the security center, or click on the Security Center icon that appears as a red shield on the bottom right of the task bar, and click on the 窶廚hange the way Security Center alerts me.窶
Then uncheck the Alert Settings for each of the items in the Security Center, click 窶廾K,窶 and this will make the evil popup go bye bye窶ｦ.
I'd rather use a third party defense system than the one provided by default by Micro$oft....
