Dir en grey are known for changing their style, what is your favorite Deg era?
I have to say that a part of me misses the more visual kei time, but I think that they are better on stage now, maybe they feel more comfortable in their own clothes then when they wore dresses...?
Kyo- Always cool/cute whatever the hell he wears
Kaoru- I miss his long hair and the beardless face, he stil looks cool though but I have to admit that I'm a bit dissapinted in him. Now on stage he hardly moves, in the old lives he OWNED the frekkin stage, headbanging, solos etc
Die- Like Kaoru, I miss the hair but love the fact that he is stil the redhead of the band Also miss the leather, heh, Die in leather, thats dangerously hot hot hot
Toshiya- I'm dissapointed... He is such a beautiful man and now he looks like a drugaddict, or a Pundare as we would say in Sweden. Ok, please don't consider me a fangirl- Someone who only cares about their looks and not their music but Dir en grey happens to be a bunch of atractive guys so ofcurse you get a bit confused when that changes...
Shinya- From a pretty pretty girl to a young man, how can you not like it. Before when playing drums in PVs he always looked.. lost and confused... now he is rockin'!!

I'm not knowledgeable enough about the different 'eras' of Dir's looks to say which is my favourite. I will, however, say that yes, Die looks very hot in leather, and I liked Kaoru's purple hair.

Also, they look pretty good now, I think!

i changed with them ....
no, i dunno witch style i like best.
ITs SO hard to choose

I picked none, I could have picked dont know, but for me it is really none. I love them all. I am not a fan who says oh they were better, or looked better when they where VK simply because I was not a fan at that time, and I feel as if I do not have the right to complain.

In fact Dir en grey's VK image scared me off (not to mention my first song was like Pink Killer/Berry). I started listening to J-Pop in ninth grade. In 10th grade I met a girl who liked Dir en grey and other VK bands, and me being the closed minded american I was hated them (or so I thought) It was actually AFTER they dropped the VK image that I became a fan,The song that got me hooked was Child Prey 2 years ago. Now that I am a VK fan, I sometimes regret not giving Dir en grey a second listen/look. I missed great music, but I am now catching up.

Ironically I love both Pink Killer and Berry.

Music wise I love Vulger, although WTD was a good album.

I voted none. Each of the band memebers have their stronger era.

Same for me I can't pick a favorite era because they all had their strong and weak points. Some of the members had good outfits and some bad outfits in each era. So I honestly can't pick one.

it's so difficult to pick one...ooommm...Musically I love all their eras...mmm but Vulgar is my favourite cd. About their look...well, they look good in all of them, but if I have to pic maybe I'll choose Macabre. But I can't vote.

i definitely prefer theyre vk days!i think theyre much prettier+sexier+hotter, and they rock
harder! and so many fanservices!hehehehe

i love all eras but if i have to vote one i choose macabre.....for say something....

The last era is the worst,in my opinion... I liked them more when they were more visual..Oh,Macabre era was good. Kyo looked so pretty with lots of make-up and his style was so cool, but nowdays he looks untidy to me... ☝

I like Dir en grey as they are now (or their 'WTD era'). I started liking them recently so I guess that's why i'm more partial to how they are now. Their VK days are awesome too but i'm not one to like a band just because they are VK.

I actually liked when they used their own Visual Kei. When they toned it down, and everyone had their own style. I liked Kyo's version of Visual Kei a lot, it's sad that he stopped using it now. He looked so awesome!

I bet they're just fuking bored of Visual Kei, and I think they still consider themselves as having a style, just not the female look anymore. Because Visual Kei has a lot of female inspiration.I look like a 12 year old girl even if I'm 17, but I think I look good, so I don't mind. They obviously don't want to look like that anymore. But they are so old now!!They consider themselves more mature, like they said;D

i love them then and now. But i have to say, i really liked when they looked like they kinda cared about their apperance. But hey, as long as their music stays great, its fine by me.

i like dir's history as a whole ^_^

my favorite era... hmm... WTD and Vulgar are my favorite albums... looks-wise, Die's hair during gauze is my god that i worship (XD the mullet of justice!!!!)... actually Die's hair in general is just amazing. Macabre was the most interesting visually, i think, but recenter pv's from Vulgar and WTD are so mature and cool (concepts-wise as well as looks) and Kisou was also really interesting and i loved everything to do with Jessica... and i LOVE Die's blue pimp suit from six ugly/child prey era XD as well as how shinya looked like old-school VK while Kaoru looked more punk, Die looked, as i said, P-I-M-P, toshiya looked like a cowboy, and Kyo just looked rockstar *coughemo* <3

Dir en grey IN GENERAL <3 woot

Well hard to choose...I like Diru in whatever they wear...
To me they were the best Visual kei band and I hate the fact that they left their visual kei look...but to me their latest look isn't that bad!Everyone has it's own style and everyone wears what suits him the best and that can also be cool (but I wanna some more of naked sexy Toshiya at times and girly Shinya too...XD)

They're always good but I miss the visual kei era. They did it best and they did it with style. XD Plus I think their sound was better then...or maybe I just have a hard time letting go ^__^

I admit I don't know. I loved how they have evolved not only musically but style wise. I think they look good now and I have gotten use to Kao's chin pubes, he can pull it off. I hate Kyo or anyone else with them though!

Die+leather= fantasy come true I also love how he has kept his hair red, although I read somewhere that he dyed it a different colour and fangirls got mad or something so he dyed it back? I love Die, his style is always so rawr! He could walk around in a sack bag and I would still be drooling Niagara falls. I also notices he really struggles with his weight eh? or is it just me...

I love Kyo's blonde hair but I also love him with dark hair too. His fashion style can really be a hit and miss for some people. Personally I have loved almost everything he has ever pranced, hopped, walked, strode, etc around in. I love when he use to wear huge suicide boots back in the VK days and I am so sorry, he is just too cute! I want to pounce on him! he'd probably send me to the Er but I'm cool with that.

Toshiya,Toshiya, Toshiya. I love him and I think he looks fine these days. I mean his style is more laid back, probably more comfortable but I will miss seeing his thighs. Back in his short dress crossing dressing vk days...*daydreams...Pictures all their thighs, although I don't think Kao and Kyo showed much thigh....dammit why is it the thigh I am daydreaming about????*

Anyways.... Shinya, I will always love him although I especially loved him in dresses and I mean he looks like a young man these days but does he feel like a young man? He confuses me. I want to chat with him one day and see what spins around in his shy little head.

I really do miss their Vk days, but Kao said in an interview they quit doing VK because Vk these days is more for the style then the music.

These days I mean their style is more like Western/American/laidback/casual/'cool' eh? Do you think they got some influence from like the Family Values tour with Korn and all those bands or like did they start dressing this way before that tour?

I like the guys they look right now. But I don't really like this agresive and vulgar metal. Some of their new songs give me a headache. I liked when Shinya had that long, black i don't know how it is called but it was cool. And Kaoru's pink hair, although he looks hot in any hair style. I like withering to death of their albums the most considering the songs.

ome thing awesoem about DIru is that they do change. If they stayed the same the whole time, it's like being 15 for your whole life. When you grow and mature (especially as a musician) you tend to get deeper emotions and stronger feelings.. so it's cool that they keep up with what they are feeling at the time. and good for them for not being all standard issue popular stuff.
