I wondered if Nahadef knew when he drew it that James Gandolfini had just died. News said he had a massive heart attack while in Italy. I bet he had a big Italian meal in front of him and died happy.
Nope, I was just about to color it when I read the news. All my strips are written and drawn the day listed, then inked another day, and colored on another, which is why the date is a week back. I have the next three already drawn, but not finished.
I have a dumb persisting belief that a little fat makes someone unhandsome, but I always remember that Tony Soprano proved that rule wrong. All the same, reading he had a heart attack put things in a different perspective for me, reminding me of the unhealthy track I'm on.
Thanks! I'm working on a longer comic book right now, so I'm a little behind on the strips (I have five written and penciled, waiting to be inked and coloured). But I will keep up the diary strips for all of 2013, and we'll see in 2014 and beyond.

I don't mind having to be 'on' while in my free time in the case that I meet a student, but it does lead to some awkward conversations. This kid isn't special ed, he's just weird.
