Curious about a postcard text....

I collect postcards, particularly of birds, and found the attached lovely card yesterday. I'm curious what the text says, as well as the name (?) in the lower left. Thanks.

I believe the kanji on the bottom left is that for "cormorant" (ウ u):

Its a haiku poem

見失しなふ
鵜の出ところや
鼻の先
There he is again
the cormorant that disappeared from my sight
right in front of my nose

The card attributes the haiku to Matsuo Bashō, but the real author is Yosa Buson.
