Hi All,

i am going on a visa run from Korea to Fukuoka on Tuesday, but after trying for hours to plan the trip, i have no idea how to get around to all my destinations.
My school have booked a flight/hotel package, but it seems the Hotel is quite a ways out and i can't work out the travel arrangements.
I have to go to the Korean embassy from the airport which is nearest to the Tojinmachi Station. From here, I am staying at the Sunsky Hotel and the address is 2-1 shinko-cho, kokurakita, kitakyushu, FUKUOKA 802-0038. (Sun Sky Hotel日本 〒802-0038 福岡県北九州市小倉北区神幸町 2-1)

The website gives the following directions:
"It takes 5 minutes by taxi JR Kokura station, and International Convention Centre.
Also Yuo can take bus from Kokura St. It takes 15min, fare is 220yen
By Bus: Take from Kokura-eki-mae bus stop, get off at Shinko-cho. The Sunsky Hotel is situated in front."

I've researched into this and i can't seem to find out how to get to any of these places from Tojinmachi Station.

I will have to do this return trip twice, then on Thursday go from the Hotel to the airport, which i'm guessing shouldn't be too much of a problem.

If anyone has any tips or links to directions in English, i would be so grateful.

Thank you for looking!
Dean.

Here is a link to a pdf that has the maps on them you need. You need to take the subway and JR to get to both places. On this map Tojinmachi is on the green line and you'll make you're way over to hakata to switch to JR line to get to Kokura. You just have to be careful because the lines split so you have to get a train heading to the right direction.

Hey Rube!

Thanks a lot for that map, it looks just what i need and makes a bit more sense now. Do you know how much JR trains are? Obviously i'm on a budget, so do they have scaled prices?

And i don't suppose you know the area where my hotel is? Just wondering if i can walk it from the station? Thanks again!

Here is a link for a map with your hotel and the station, the hotel being marked "A" and it looks about 4 kilos or about an hour's walk with luggage. I'd take the bus they mention for a few bucks. Most buses you pay when you get on and you can tell the driver "Sunsky Hotel de oritai." but say the R like an L

Google Maps

I almost never take trains so I can't tell you the price but they aren't that expensive. You're probably looking between $2~$6 for local trains.
