Reached the climax of the chapter now, so I won't be posting probably for a another long while since i'm going to learn the next section.

Chapter 7 Practice:
A. Look at the pictures below and answer the questions. ( I just wrote the answers, check if the sentence structure is correct )
1. メアリはほんをよんでいます。
2. メアリはおよいでいます。
3. メアリはしゃしんをとっています。
4. メアリはおんがくをきいています。
5. メアリはうたをうたっています。
6. メアリはたけしさん会ってにいきます。
7. メアリはたばこをすうをしています。
8. メアリはテニスをしています。
9. メアリはコーヒーをのんでいます。

A. This is Sue's family. Answer the following questions.
1. おねえさんはどこにすんでいますか。
Answer: お姉さんはロンドンにすんでいます。
2. おとうとさんはアメリカにすんでいますか。
Answer: おとうとさんはニューヨークにすんでいます。
3. おかあさんはなにをしていますか。

Correction: 町はしずかで、やさしいです。 - I just meant the people are also friendly.
Correction with better explanation - 町はしずかで、ひとはやさしいです。I used は twice, I think it's acceptable if it's being used to further continue a discussion(sub-root) on the same topic but I could be wrong.

What I wanted to say was: "Mary will meet Takeshi".
So: メアリはたけしさんで会ってにいきます。

6) Yeah the chapter I was doing was about progressive present but I already made this thread Corrections[P9]
and that was solely for います so I used this chance to also work on my sentence structure.

9) Hmm I think the correct way is: わたしのちちはアメリカンのかいしゃにつとめています。 Meaning my father works for a american company.

8) I will use かんたん for easy now rather than やさしい when speaking on behalf of certain situations.

6) Yeah they met up in the past and are now together, not they just met up now.
9) わたしのあねはにほんのかいしゃにつとめています。 same thing when I play the audio long with it.

The problem is on でために and ためにつとめています. You can say ちちは、こどものためにかいしゃにつとめています. Can you see what ために indicates?

6) Thanks, I'm going to re-check the explanations in lesson 7 before moving to 8. I need to fully grasp the ています and
Past,Present etc.

9) Well I never used ために before, but after a quick search for how to say "for" it's one of the things that showed up. When the book teaches it I will truly know how to use it.
