Construction jobs in Japan

Hi all here. I would like to ask you guys how to find construction jobs in Tokyo or in cities around Tokyo. Thanks.

You can find (usually) free job magazines at most convenience stores and bookstores. Look in those for jobs or visit a local "Hello Work" center ("Hello Work" is the cutesie name for the Unemployment Office: 職業安定所).

Does your visa status allow you to work in Japan? Do you already have any construction skills, experience, or certification? How are your Japanese skills?

Thanks Mike for replying. I have spouse visa so I think it is ok to get a job. Well i am an engineer with just 2 years experience in construction field and moved here a couple of weeks ago but my japanese is so poor. For now I just wanna get some job and try to boost my japanese speaking level.

You are fine with a spouse visa. Ask your wife to help you look through the job magazines and to go to the local Hello Work with you, as you will need some Japanese reading skills in order to find the jobs listed in those places.

Are you wishing to work as an engineer? Or as a manual laborer on job sites? My advice was based on an assumption you are looking for manual labor jobs. If you want professional work as an engineer you probably need to look at some different resources.
