Confused about から

Hi there. A while back, I made a thread on how to properly use から and submitted some sentences that were incorrectly structured. The situation and explanation clauses were in an incorrect order and made some pretty silly statements. However, I mention this because currently I'm confused as it seems in my book that it says that one can indeed reverse the situation and explanation clauses but yet my sentences were incorrect. I've attached a picture from my book that shows what I'm talking about.

Can someone please clarify? I'm dreadfully confused here.

correct

3. わたしはさびしかったです(situation/result)。ともだちがいませんでした(explanation/reason)から。

or

1. きょうはあめがふっています(explanation/reason)から、さんぽしません(situation/result)。
2. まさこさんはダンスがじょうずです(explanation/reason)から、にんきがあります(situation/result)。
3. わたしはともだちがいませんでした(explanation/reason)から、さびしかったです(situation/result)。

I guess you're specifically confused about the line "(situation), because (explanation)" line in your photo. This is merely showing a possible translation of the sentence to English - it's not meant to show a possible alternative structure of the Japanese sentence.

Oh, Genki, why do you have to be confusing? As lanthas said, it's just showing a possible English translation. For example, 今日、雨が降ったから、家にいた。"today, it rained, therefore I stayed home." 今日、家にいた。雨が降ったから。"today, I stayed home because it rained."

Ah, I see. Thanks guys. Is genki known for this kinda thing?

I wouldn't say it's confusing, really; the first sentence uses hiragana "から" and Japanese punctuation, while the next sentence uses the English word "because" and Western punctuation. That should make it clear that a translation is being given rather than alternative Japanese grammar.
