Just as an additional information, judging from what you are learning right now, you may eventually encounter instances wherein you combine two separate sentences that end with nouns.
In fact, the rule for conjugation of nouns is pretty much the same with that of the na-adjectives.
For example, if you attempt to connect the two sentences below,
この人は学生です。(This person is a student.)
その人は先生です。(That person is a teacher.)
you'll have:
この人は学生で、その人は先生です。(This person is a student, and that person is a teacher.)
Just add 「で」 after the noun just like you did with na-adjectives.
