This world is so messed upView attachment 118964View attachment 118965 I sometimes wonder about our education system when I see drag queens allowed in to read to students and the American flag is not allowed. I also see street interviews of college kids who can not answer questions about things I learned in 5th grade. I'm hoping it's just a case of things being blown out of proportion and not real widespread.
It's all about geopolitics and nothing to do with American altruism (or that of any other country for that matter - the Chinese are providing assistance to African countries because they want the business and regional influence; Japan are similar and want the votes from small countries on whaling issues). As for ousting bad leaders, the West were perfectly happy having Saddam Hussein in power during the 80s because it was expedient for them, and many Western nations are providing arms to Israel that are being used to destroy schools and hospitals. Communism is not misinterpreted at all. We in the west know exactly what communism is, why it's bad, and why it needs to be stopped. Here's something my Grandpa says about communism. (Sorry, North Koreans) "'If you don't work, Kim Jong Un will smack you upside the head with a shovel while he chews on a nice steak and you're forced to eat grass.'"I couldn't agree more with @Lothor. And in the age of social media, things have only gotten murkier. What makes me sad is that in American political discourse, terms like "socialism," "communism," or "liberalism" are utterly distorted and misrepresented. I wish people would enlighten themselves before throwing around terminology they seem unable or unwilling to comprehend.

I'd like to agree with @Mansoor. Being the country with the largest navy and air force in the world, the Chinese should know to be very cautious around the US, and the US should be careful around china. I don't know about the other Americans, but I don't want a war with the country with the largest army in the world. I'm also sure I'm not the only American who would love to be on friendly terms with china, but I don't think the US would be willing to extend a hand of friendship towards china unless they do it first.I think, China has nothing to do with Japan itself, but it is careful about the presence of US military units in Japan and their secret activities against China. Japan is now the closest confronting point of America and China, unlike the US fleets in the ocean.
One day in the past, Japan was considered a formidable and powerful competitor for China. At that time, China had a weak and inconsistent government and army, and did not make remarkable progress in technology and industries (with a high rate).
Today, China is not worried about Japan, which considers it like a tiger without fangs and claws. Instead, it is concerned about the activities of the US military and spying bases in Japan. Although they are not currently a serious and imminent danger for China, the Chinese are aware that neglecting US plans, as one of the few world powers, could be a great mistake.
On the other hand, America is aware of the military power of China and Russia and tries not to engage with these two formidable powers horn to horn. It also avoids provoking North Korea, which is closely connected to China.
