Liam; see, you were gone for soo long I though you died. see; I even changed my avatar signature (or whatever that text is called) It doesn't say Chiaki 4 L1fe anymore.. I'll change it back!

So you're one of the greatest followers of her works? *thinks of all the maniac japanese perverted otakus who are probably all stalking her every minute of the day* Um.. maybe... (?)
Did you see ALL the movies she has played a part in?

Actually, Liam, and all other who like her, you've got a good taste.. Chiaki is special and does her own thing. She's neither stupid, nor a bimbo or ugly.. She awesome and talented too!

i saw this as a slightly obvious reference to battle royale. i think maybe my opinion of the film was marred due to watching asian cinema such as battle royale and game of death (the yellow jump suit was worn by Bruce Lee in Game Of Death, the film itself is average and bruce lee died before the film was completed so a body double was cast in his role - i think it may have been jackie chan, but i haven't seen the film in years).
i think if kill bill opens up the world of eastern film to a western audience then it serves a good purpose. however, personally, the film was a huge disappointment.
 
I understand. I guess, I didn't really have any expectations at all when I first watched it, so I thought it was pretty good. The soundtrack is cool.

But it's not as good as Battle Royale... or.. Ping Pong.. or Go... or.. Suicide Club.. or.. *nevermind*

yeah the 5.6.7.8's rock.

i think it's the way with most films...if you go into it with high expectations then you tend to be disappointed and vice versa!
And there are many foreign films...and even western films that make kill bill look...well...in my opinion, rubbish!
I wasn't sure about suicide circle. the opening scene is awesome (and much talked about) but after that...(once again in my opinion) it seemed to drift off a bit.
but i know you love it so i will not say another bad word against it. 👍
 
:LOL: XD - It's OK Smoke, you don't have to love Suicide Club.... I agree with you that the movie was cool in the beginning but.. gets a little dumb in the end. But still, it's a cool movie. And the mommy cutting of her finger.. 😍

YAAAY! 5.6.7.8's are soo good, they REALLY rock! I wanna see them live sometime!

High expecatitons suck. No one should have them. I bet thousands of people ruin movies to themselves everyday by having too high expectations...

He could be one of the greatest fans of her works partly through the fact that he respects her enough not to be a stalker?

Kill Bill? Oh Gogo? Not seen it yet, will on friday but one of my best friends saw it and he loved Gogo! Said she didn't deserve to die. And Battle royale? And Ju-On? All 3 movies I plan to see, Kill Bill and Battle Royale hopefully fairly soon as u-On a.s.a.p.

If I like, I'll find out more about her and maybe join ^.^
 
yay, but beware shes only in te ju-on tv movie not in the actual dvd movie, you can get the tv movie though off ebay, like i did..lol and it would be cool if you joined....

because beatrix hit her in the side of the head with a plank of wood with nails in it =( pretty cheap tactic...( wanted her to crush beatrix's throat )

I didn't know her name yet, not seen volume 2 yet.... pffft.

I liked O-Ren Ishii better as a character, but Gogo had a tiny part so I guess that doesn't help... the "Do you want to screw me?" bit was great...

(Watched volume 1 for the first time on saturday)
 
yeah, the music when they are having the samurai duel at the end of vol 1, it rocks! but number 2 was as good...pai mei is funny!
