*BLUSH* no.... NOT TRUE... they don't... *shy schoolgirl* um... I... don't know? Actually, I've never seen a japanese dick before... (?) Um. Interesting question...
BUT I STILL WANNA SEE SOME NUDE MALE PICTURES!!!! *transforms from shy schoolgirl to hentai-goddess!*

hehe haha VERY fitting... hm.. 😌
Anyways, do think the nude pictures are wrong in any way?

well, i agree with what you say...it depends on the context in which the photos were taken. i would imagine (with a very limited knowledge of japanese men's magazines!) that they were for an 'adult' magazine. not top shelf sort of stuff but a japanese equivalent of FHM or something similar. i would imagine they are more artistic than most photos in those sorts of magazine. (i have now seen the photos...well i have seen some and i assume they are the ones.)
and yes, i agree that when somebody is a 'celebrity' we do look upon them differently, perhaps like we have the right to see them in that situation.
i think to define them as 'wrong' we would have to fully understand the context in which they were taken and whether they were exploitive.
i know that by law in the UK a 13 year old celebrity wouldn't have a lot of say as to what they do (in regards to photo-shoots) so was the decision to pose nude made by her or a 'responsible adult'?
and once again i agree with you about it would be a different story if she were 17. although, by british law that would still be illegal (oh no, the 'I' word again!).
i think this is where things get a little cloudy...if the photos originated from a country were it is 'legal' for them to be taken, where does the law stand on people from outside of that country (where it would be 'illegal' to take the same photos) looking at them?
it's a question i don't know the answer to...any thoughts anyone? on law or morality!

:: hits smoke over the head with FHM magazine, FHM sucks....

oh, please don't think i read those!!!
the best magazine like that i ever 'read' (uses term loosely) was Smart Girls which is a japanese mag...it's my prive possesion.
anyway, better go...supposed to be working!!!!

sounds...good...but who reads FHM and what does FHM stand for...female ho's monthly??

FHM stands for 'For Him Magazine' and started life as a fashion mag. Yeah, I used to buy them (sad bloke). Smoke you're not using company time to post are you? Shock! horror! Well something to pass those tedious hours in an office. Sometimes I'm glad I'm a driver. No managers to screw up my day, especially if I switch off my phone.
Just one thing on English law. Does anyone find it odd that the age of consent is 16, and you can get married at 16, with parental consent, yet you have to be 18 to buy pornography? :?

Concerning Chiaki Kuriyama, she was in the original Ju-on, TV movie. She got wasted. Mind you everyone does, no-one escapes Kayoko

me, waste company time? with my reputation! hell yeah!!! death to the corporation!
sorry lost myself for a minute there!
speaking of english law...how f'd up is it that you can have a child, a husband or wife and give yourself cancer by smoking (yes, i know...i can see the irony) by the age of 16...but you aren't old enough (ie: not responsible enough) to vote or even have a drink (legally).
surely having a child is a far bigger responsibilty than voting in some a-hole or getting wrecked on J.D and ending up in the emergency room?!

and don't worry 'Mycernius'...we have all looked at FHM. the guy that lived in my place before me was a subscriber and we still get his issue of FHM...of course i don't open it because he still collects his post! (damn!). but seriosuly, if yu can find an issue of smart girls (which has ended- so only back issues) or Love Smart (which is from the same people) it's worth a look...and if you find somewhere online (in the UK) where i can get a copy...let me know!!!

I know - about the age, pretty strange since the age of being "grown up" is 20. But, um, I'll find out more about it *googles* I wanna know if that age of being allowed to have sex really is 12...

i have seen a list of the legal age of consent for all countries (divided by state in the US etc) but i can't remember where. i believe it was an .org site, something about child protection...wait...i've found it
http://www.ageofconsent.com/ageofconsent.htm
[M = Male, F = Female...obviously)
Japan - 16/18 (M/F) 16/18 (M/M) 16/18 (F/F)
i assume the reason its between two ages depends on where in Japan you are.
this isn't the site i saw before...but it seems fairly accurate.

strabge since at 16 if your married at your honeymoon you usually...errhave sex so you have to be 18 to look at sex what...

that's english law for you!
also, if sex is defined as art it is ok...we've all seen nude/sexual paintings/sculptures in art galleries on school trips, but to look at something similar under the title 'pornography' then that would be against the law.

I don't know if your taking the Pi**. Just to put you right, if you don't know, she is an actress. Best known internationally as the girl who played Gogo Yubari in Kill Bill 1. Most poeple on this forum know her from Battle Royale as Takako Chigusa. It was this film that made Quentin Tarantino cast her in Kill Bill. You might guess that Chiaki_kuriyama_fan is a bit of a fan of her work. 🙂

:p sooo that's what she does. I've never seen Kill Bill. :sorry: thank you for informing me, Mycernius!

I have posted this elsewhere, but just to let you know she was in the Ju-on that was a made for TV movie. This was before the two films which everybody knows about. She gets wasted in a school by Toshio. 🙂

kill bill is a good movie, not the best movie ever but good, she is also going to be in a new movie called into the sun, i don't know who she is being casted as yet though...

i wouldn't bother.

What? Why not? Kill Bill is a good movie, as ever with Quentin Tarantino... I mean, it's not the best I've seen, but it's definitely worth watching - if not for the storys sake, at least watch it cause it's nicely done and the colors are cool and the setting..

:; throws spoon at smoke :: thats how i learned of chiaki =)

kill bill is basically a self-indulgent homage to eastern cinema...it's not original, it's full of 'in jokes' and i don't understand what all the fuss was/is about.

that is my opinion anyway.

Pulp Fiction was his best as far as I'm concerned. I've noticed with Hero they are billing the DVD as Quentin Tarantino presents Hero. A bit of a sneaky way to get people to buy the film. My dance teacher almost bought it because she didn't read the packaging properly. She thought it was a film by QT. Had to point out that it was a Chinese film in Chinese and subtitled in English. She doesn't like subtitled films. It's a pity though, because the film is bloody brilliant, go out, buy it, you won't be disappointed. The only QT bit is his interview with Jet Li. It's a cases of clever packaging. They have done the same with Asimov's 'I,Robot'. Put Will Smith on the front and people will buy the book thinking it is the film, not a collection of short robot books by Asimov (one of the best Sci-fi writers in my own personal opinion). The film is based on about three of Asimovs stories.
