I found a song that I want to try to translate, but the first two kanji in the song don't even appear in my character dictionary.
Here's a scan of the two kanji:

It's apparently pronounced "sora", but I'm pretty sure it doesn't say "sky"..
Does anyone know what it says?

I guess the songwriter regards the sky as rakuen (paradaise). Songwriters often do such a thing.

Hirashin

I may be wrong, but is that "pleasing garden"?

I am beginner in Japanese... but I think that japanese have several forms of "sora".

空 "sora" as the (empty) space, sky.

宇宙 ... I think that in some context, "space" (uchuu) could be pronounced "sora".

.

The first characters that you displayed are (as a user before me said): "pleasant/music" and "garden/park" (if the external radical is completely closed in the upper part).

So, I will not be surprised if this "sora" will be "heaven" in the sense of "paradise".

But I speculate.

Regards.
