Okay the answer to question 1 was Mike Cash. I asked for regular member, Thomas is an admin.
That gives a point to Tsuyoiko and Lledargo.
A quick point I will take first answers only. It occured to me earlier today, although no-one did send a second PM.

Brings to mind a story !
On that faithful day ,Mar. 14th , 2002, when JREF was born....Thomas was out bike riding, when a truck mirror going by clipped him. The driver stopped , and low and behold it was a tough American named Mike , his first day on the job driving truck for a Japanese company. After he beat Thomas up for breaking his mirror, they got talking and Thomas said "No hard feelings if you join my new JREF website". And that was how Mike came to be the first member of JREF .

The only way any of that could be true would be for Thomas to have been standing up on his pedals. Otherwise the mirror would have passed right over him. But if I were that close the body of the truck would have knocked him a$$-over-teakettle and I would still be sitting in Traffic Prison down in Chiba Prefecture. (And my first day driving trucks here was in the summer of 1990, seven years before I had the internet, much less JREF.)

Right question 3 and three correct answers. So a full four points to Lledargo, Dutch Baka and Tsuyoiko.

Okay Question 4. A nice easy one: What is the collective name of the wars fought between Rome and Carthage?

The answer to number four was The Punic Wars. Hannible crossing the Alps and all that (Second punic war for that one if you are interested)
