誰か(だれか)は 此処(ここ)ですか。

はい、ここいるんです。

皆(みんな)は 何(なに)を しているか

今(いま)は大学(だいがく)へ行きます(いきます)。それじゃ。

I don't think you need to use Kanji for ここ if your meaning "here".
私はここにいますが、このサイトを調べています(しらべています)だけ。
がんばって!

ちなみに、「超」という言葉はだめですか?その言葉はカジュアルの言葉ですか? 「です」と「ます」分かった、一つの文に私はですを使うのか忘れました。ごめんなさい。

He said now he is going to the university.

私は夕食(ゆうしょく)にサラダを食べています。

今日は、やっと、エアコンを直して(直して)もらったので、うれしく思いました。
修理(しゅうり)してもらうのに1週間(しゅうかん)かかりました。 なんとなくまだ生(い)きています。

ok...I'm having trouble figuring out what you said...is it just me or did u make a mistake? this is what I think u said:

I am here, and the sight (調べて) only. Keep it up! By the way, is "ultra-" language hopeless? Is that language casual language? Understand "desu" and "masu", I am doing one's letters....(i have no idea). Excuse me.

What did you say?

Uhg...you know I'm a beginner so don't get mad, but I'm not really sure what u said either...:

I am eating an evening meal of salad. Today at last, accept the air conditioners (直して)...I'm not really sure about the rest...

It says, "I'm having salad for dinner. Today, the air conditioner got fixed at last. It took a week to fix it. For some reason, I'm still living." XD

As for Damicci's post, he said he was only here to check up on this site. He also asked if the word 超(ちょう) was a doinky word to use or not, because isn't it a more casual word? He understands "desu" and "-masu", but in one sentence, he forgot to use "desu", and he apologized for it. ^^

doinkes...I can translate what you said because the kanji you put doesn't make sense, i cant find what the kanji means...you put the kanji together and when i look it up in a dictionary,or www.wwwjdic.com nothing comes up...if its a name can you put a * or something next to it, or in ( ) put (NAME) or something...and when you are using the kanji can you separate them with spaces, unless they are really ONE word...thanks...

Well, I imagine you looked up 中島美嘉 in the dictionary? Of course nothing would come up, since that is a person's name...Nakashima Mika. Ditto with Kimura Kaela's name... I said that they were people's names, that they are female singers who are popular in Japan, that Kimura Kaela is also a fashion model and variety show host, and that Nakashima Mika starred in the hit movie "Nana" last year. Nakashima (also spelled Nakajima) and Kimura are common family names/last names in Japan so next time you come across those names, you can easily tell that that's someone's name. ^^ WWWJDIC has a name dictionary on it too - go to "Search for Words in the Dictionary" and select "enamdict" down in "Options" (in the little pull-down box next to "Select different dictionary file")...this dictionary has various names in it including many names of Japanese celebrities, and Nakashima Mika and Kimura Kaela are both listed in it.

Also, Japanese people tend to write their names with no spaces, unless their family name has one kanji or two kanji and their given name only has one. Then they'll put a space between the family name and the given name to avoid confusion.

Do you understand what 。。。は名前です means?

Ok...but i was referring to "女性歌手"

Basically, 熟語 (jukugo)/kanji compound consists of two kanji.
When you come across kanji compound consists of four kanji, split it into two (two + two) and look up each of them.
女性歌手 for example is 女性 (josei = female) + 歌手 (kashu = singer).
There might be exception, but in most cases this should work.

Yeah...女性歌手 are two words, not one.

Somehow I don't think it makes sense to have to go to this much work of using an online dictionary, translator, etc for a beginning chat. It's also distracting if there are a lot of hiragana glosses or mistakes or whatnot....I'm the worst transgressor of all at making things too long, but if this thread is going to be active again maybe everyone should try to limit themselves to one or two sentences or a short paragraph at most. Whatever is not understood then can be worked out right away and a real conversation is allowed to at least have the possibility of getting underway....

yeah...i use a dictinary i have, and www.wwwjdic.com

it would be easier and much faster to reply if everything was shorter....and next time, can u put spaces between the kanji so i knwo enxt time. or like, let me knwo it's two words or soemthing..

皆(みんな)は 何(なに)を して いるか。

(how do u make verbs informal past tense, and informal past tense negative?)

verbs (using のむ、 たべる、 する as examples)

past informal: のんだ、 たべた、 した。
negative past informal: のまなかった、 たべなかった、 しなかった。

ok?

ok...

so is this right:

past informal: manda = machimashita, suwata = suwarimashita

past.neg. informal = matanakatta, suwanakatta

this link can help you
Learn How to Conjugate Japanese Verbs

the link may be a little bit confusing so here my explanation:
(from the dictionary/basic form)

group 1 verbs

past tense, informal:(ends in ta/da)
if the verbs end in

-ku → ita--------------歩く → 歩いた

-gu → ida--------------泳ぐ → 泳いだ

-u/tsu/ru → tta(った)---行く → 行った

-nu/bu/mu →nda(んだ)-遊ぶ → 遊んだ

su → shita-------------離す → 離した

past tense, informal negative (ends in nakatta)
if the verbs end in

-u → anakatta---座る(suwaru) → 座らなかった(suwaranakatta)

-if there a vowel behind the 'u', u → wanakatta
使う(tsukau) → 使わなかった(tsukawanakatta)
思う(omou) → 思わなかった(omowanakatta)
会う(au) → 会わなかった(awanakatta)
戦う(tatakau) → 戦わなかった(tatakawanakatta)

group 2 verbs

past tense, informal(ends in ta)
if the verbs end in

-ru → ta-------- 開ける → 開けた

past tense, informal negative(ends in nakatta)
if the verbs end in

-ru → nakatta--- 冴える → 冴えなかった

i dont get the group 2 ones....in group one you said that -ru is "tta" and then in group 2 you said "-ru" is "-ta"...and are all verbs with past negitive end in nakatta

Well, there are a couple Group 1 verbs that end in ~る, like 帰る(かえる), so what tanhql was saying is that these verbs should be conjugated as ~った, same with Group 1 verbs that end in ~う or ~つ. However, the majority of verbs that end with る are Group 2 verbs, so they have a different conjugation.
