Those are nice. I never thought of manhole covers (in Japan or anywhere else), but those are interesting.

Ow WOW!! I have to tell my dad about this site!! He has a weird habit of photographing manholes like these.. I haven't looked at all the pics, but in Nagasaki I saw one which had lights in it!! It was a beautiful cartoon of a whale, in bling bling colours!!

That's quite amazing how they've taken something so bland and utilitarian and made it a piece of pressed-iron art.
