I want to use a photo as my avatar. How do I do this?
What size should the image be cropped to? Thanks.

well seeing as i have a photo for my ava...

basically it has to be 100X100 or less.

I'm assuming you know how to edit the image to do that?

hi,
i tried doing that but it still says it's too big. i tried making it smaller (30x30) and it still says its too big so i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong.

Is it the filesize that is too large? You'll probably have to compress the image. For best results, make sure the image is a .jpg file, which has good compressing rates and common for webpages.

Go to User CP --> Edit Avatar. Scroll down. Right below where you can click to upload, they list the specifications. It's 100X100 or 19.5 kb, whichever is smaller.

In Photoshop....

I usually have resolution set at 72. Hight & width on mine is set in pixels, with the largest side being 100 or less.
