Help Applying to ICU spring semester as an international transfer student

Hi! I'm currently a college student in the USA majoring in linguistics. I'm currently in the process of writing my applications to apply to transfer for ICU's spring semester. I was wondering if there is anyone in a similar situation or has experienced something similar. If so, I would love to get in contact with you. I've been very anxious about getting in due to it being my dream school. My situation is a bit unique so I can't really ask my friend who goes to school in Japan (Waseda).

Once upon a time, their requirements for being kenkyuusei (one year?) were 'relaxed'.

I think it's different if you're transferring to become a regular student (eventually graduating from there).
