I found this article on the Dead or Alive Central Forums, and just had to post it. I personally find this device facinating, and possibly a useful tool for women to combat against rapists. I personally find all rapists and child molesters to be bottom dwelling scum that should all die, so you can see why I'm even in favor for this new device for women. What do you guys think of it?

Anti-Rape Condom Article

Doc 🙂

i dont know about others but the link sends me to microsoft.com :s

well i mean does it stick out or smth, cuz if there has to be penetration for it to work there is still damage being done tot he women, and furthermore what is she forgets she has it on and the husband or bf gets it? :blush :

hmmmm, well it sounds like a good idea on paper, finally rapists would get what they deserve

Interesting device, but it will also open up the dreaded "payback" controversy. Let's say a guy and girl have a bad breakup...she's hurt, and decides to try to get him back...only to have make up sex with her partner and cause this item to be attached. Now it is her word against his and he is in the ER trying to get this thing removed.

I'm sure it will work as described and will identify many true rapists, but I can't help but think that many vindictive women will use this to their advantage.

I can't imagine how it could have barbs in it without also injuring the woman. :? Sounds dangerous.

Yeah, I think I would rather just grow my nails sharp and long. Or wear panties that give off electric shocks to people other than myself.
What ever happened to the chastity belts? Haha.
That article is quite amusing, but how do you know when you're going to get raped? Really, its not something you would want in you all the time.
Also if you knew you were at risk of being raped, you would avoid the situations in which something of the like would happen.
YOu cant really ask politely if they wouldnt mind stopping for a minute while you insert your barbed doodackey thingee.

Yeah, my first thought was "good idea" but then I thought of some of the possible problems.

Anyway it don't stop the woman getting beat up. I know being raped is worse than getting hit about, but when you're in hospital with broken cheekbone and lost your sight in one eye, you're not gonna be lying there thinking "at least I wasn't raped"... :(

Maybe the idea could work, but is a problem in the mind of the attacker which needs to be solved in the end.

South Africa also invented this add-on to cars that flame-thrower car-jackers, its really amazing, two perfect examples of the relaliation culture at its worse, jesus christ, just give the girl a can of pepper-spray. ☝

I dont like rapists but, some inventions like this go somewhat too far.

What needs to be done is teach boys rape is bad m'kay, teach women how to defend themself, provide a pepper spray or something, and teach them some common sense and good advice for avoiding these situations.

I dunno, its just personally the whole violence meets violence thing, the whole point is that its IS only rapists and criminals and scum who resort to these behaviours, if we start pulling razors and guns and car-mounted flame-throwers and sticking hooked devices on our person, what kinda message are we portraying?, that principals and civilization come poor second to getting cold blooded vengence?.

I was attacked once outside a chinese take-away in my home town, but for all that ive learned to forgive the bloke, he took my hat, tried to give me a beating for having the tenacity to ask for it back, but for all that, i know that i am the better person because i can forgive, maybe he was on something, maybe he just had a poor upbringing and discipline, either way, he was punished in the proper way.

Learn to defend yourselves, not return the favour.

edit: notes from the second article.

Ehlers said the "rapex" hooks onto the rapist's skin, allowing the victim time to escape and helping to identify perpetrators..."He will obviously be too pre-occupied at this stage," she told reporters in Kleinmond, a small holiday village about 100km (60 miles) east of Cape Town. "I promise you he is going to be too sore. He will go straight to hospital."

The woman seems to under-estimate how much pain a determined sexual predator can take, this is a penis, not his family jewels, and it can take pain almost as well as any given part of a mans body, and if he's got his thingy inside to get hooked, the chances of the woman being in the right state of mind and freed position to attempt an escape is slim, if the womans already in that situation, a condom doesnt change the fact she has been raped, he might not have got to do much, and he will have a hooked rubber on his member, but, it will still be rape in a sense, whats wise is knowing how to defend yourself so you dont even need to end up in that situation, it really is a malicious tool of retribution and nothing more.
As i said, pepper spray, proper knowledge of how to defend yourself, THAT stops rapes.

Finally, why do they assume the blokes going to hospital?, do you see escaped convicts calling the local sherriff to help remove handcuffs?, lol, the bloke will most likely attempt to remove it himself, it looks like a straightforward affair of the barbs pointing upwards all i would need is a pair of sciccors to cut off the condom part of it, cut through the rim ring at the bottom where the barbs are, then carefully remove it.

My member will be sore and probably bleeding but, it will be off and the law none the wiser.

Im sorry but this really does look like a case of "they hurt me so i will hurt them", nothing to do with preventing rapes, nothnig with solving the problem, everythnig to do with cold blooded vengence, barely mroe credible then the carjacker flamethrower.

It also reduces the chances of a woman falling pregnant or contracting
AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases from the attacker by acting in the same way as a female condom.

Thats about the only sensible thing ive read about this, but as i keep bleeting on, having the right equipment, like a pepperspray, or knowing how to defend yourself should save you the trouble of having a mans member unwillingly in you in the first place.

P.S. i sympathise with rape victims, its never right and the men who commit it are pretty low in my opinion, but i believe theres better ways of dealing with it then letting the man do the deed just so you can leave a minor annoyance of a barbed condom on his member, pissing him off, and risknig a beating or worse, common sense, knowing what you need to know about these situations, THAT should keep you ever having to find yourself in such a situation.

I think it's a great idea.

Although god knows there are a few problems with it...

Still, it's good enough for The Department of Ironic Punishment.

👍

Well just having them out there might make rapists think twice.
