Hi all! Myself and some peers are working on a 2-minute 3D animation short set in Edo period of Japan. We're planning to show a character representation of Kukunochi ( 久久能智神 ) in our short, and would like to reach out to communities on their opinions, feedback and suggestions on our interpretation.

Is it appropriate, offensive, or are you indifferent for us to represent this Deity in our animation? If you have any insight or resources please share.

If you're interested, please take a look at our script draft!

We have reached out to a professor in Japanese Cultural studies as well, please let us know your thoughts!

I am no expert on these matters but I see nothing culturally offensive here.
