"Kill Me Sweetly"

My dreams shattered by my own heart
I should have ended this long ago
Broken this terrible habbit

I'm sitting here waiting
for this all to end
in a glimpse I see my death
I see my fall

Alll I wanted was to feel this I hear about
the feeling everyone knows
just to know who I am
to find myself one day

Instead of finding
I lost it all
its gone, it left
left me all alone

You lifted me up only to let me go
You held me close only to crush my bones
You whispered softly, only to break my heart
You killed me sweetly, only to watch my pain

Maybe, this belongs to the thread "Wow, smth great...", but...
I am happy, i finally caught the Aurora borelis today =) We had one on august 31, but i missed it :(
I`ve read about dark spot on the Sun and its high activity these days. So, always had a hope that we might get some those particles to brighten our skies. I went from home when i saw one. Rather short and not as colourful as it could be, i wouldn`t mind to stay outside and wait for another one, but had to hurry - doggy was waiting for me. Now, while his rice is cooking i am typing these words with another hope: in about half an hour we will go for our regular night walk, maybe we`ll get some more of the pleasant sight =)

There is one good thing in babysitting this nasty-behaving funny stafford - night walks. Every city has two faces: the face of the day and the face of the night. Both have the allure of their own. I remember how we got lost in the night Rome, we`ve been looking for bus or metro station. "Oh, hi Angel, you look nice in the dark!" empty streets, roads of lights, silence brocken only with sound of our own steps, and rare cars. "Oh, that`s Angel again!" steps, streets, lights, silence... "What is it? Hey, this is Vatican!" steps, streets, lights, silence... "Angel!!! %\ taxi!!!!!" :D But at the same time there was different life on Rome squares, different from our straying, different from their daylight activity

Our town is small, but has it`s own night beauty. As soon as it gets really dark most of the people will hide in their apartments, and yellow square eyes of the buildings will be peering in surprise at empty streets. It feels so tranquil when quiet night embraces you. It spreads the grey asphalt road covered with black lace of leaves and pleached branches. It meets late
travellers with blinking eye of traffic lights which with their weird Morse code invite to choose one of the roads. Dots of street-lights outline their contour, heading toward one shining point of the distant dark. Raven-black skies are broken with white geometry of angular buildings.

And every passing minute deepens the silence. Late clip-clop of someone`s heels dies away behind the door, whirr of rare cars interlaces into the sound picture of the night. Lonely car on the street looks like an abstract object independent from its passenges whose existence seems to be something unreal.

Trees which appear dressed in silver under bright lamps, lightened green spots of grass on dark gray carpet, bizzare silhouettes of undistinguishable objects and stars indifferently looking down bring surrealistic touch to the scene

I was thinking about this thread and decided to post something here. I just finished my first draft on my research project, The Harlem Renaissance (well it mosty focused on several women of that era). Anyways, the paper itself ended up being about ten pages. There's a chance that in the future it will be more because the HR was such a huge movement, I had to squeeze in as much information as I could. So if you like you could read my paper, it's not perfect, in fact it's written almost poorly.

I have a 7 page report on the beautiful F-4 Phantom. But who here want to know about Vietnam era aircraft? :D

I think some of you know where you can view my writing. 😊

Doc 🙂
