according to my grammar book( oh well, no pun intended)
ni yoru means "according to" (something)
and you can find it in 2 ways :
によると and によれば , i'm wondering what are the differences between them, since my book offer two example sentences that translate it in such a way that its pretty hard to figure out:
"天気予報によれば、明日は晴れるらしい" according to the weather forecast, it seems tomorrow will be sunny
and
"さっきの地震はテレビの速報によると震度3だそうだ" according to the news flash on TV, the "recent" earthquake had a magnitude level of 3
what is so different about them? or how am i supposed to know when to use them (if these translations are correct of course)
