Okay I went to your reference. And found the character 方 on page 10. Which clearly shows the stroke order.

Where in the document, does it say that the stroke order for 方 has been changed in the year 1997 (or 1988)? The only time these two years have been mentioned are in the preface.

You're an absolute tool, using academic reference to deliberately lying to people and twist your arguments, and waste my time. The only person you're capable of fooling is Gaijinmiki, but she's just a kid.

You're quite wrong Hezam, I know a lot of polite and courteous Chinese. Usually those who've spent a couple of years living in Japan. I'm tempted to say it's largely the environment, but that would discredit Australia. ;-)

i ment to generlize to see what FW reply i have some Chinese in my skype and they are amazing people.
 

I'm not flame any one. I Just want to know if it is normal to write 方 (and maybe other Characters) the wrong way in Japan?

However, it seem to be now that even Chinese people don't know how to write it, eg WaxSausage and Gaijinmiki, assuming they are Chinese or taught by Chinese.

lol even if say this was an accident by the people who were devloping the show ( btw Im pretty sure its intentional ive watched the whole series so I wouldnt be surprised, but this is irrelevant you could be right), isnt it a pretty bold generalization to say japanese people in general. The way you say it implies that the whole population is incapable of writing chinese characters lolol
 
1- Your topic should be ( Do japanese people......? ) if you want to know
2- As you might know there are many people using Latin alphabet in their own way, For example: in Turkish C sounds like J.
Same goes on Arabic but why would that makes you uncomfortable ? i haven't seen such manner !

Then why are you so enthusiastic about my threads? I never forced you to read them, let alone post in them.

This thread is simply a forum to discussion Japanese Kanji education standard. If you don't like it, don't join in, plus, you don't even have the right to talk because you don't know crap about Kanji, you're simply here to insult me and start a flame war.

Plus, religion is more boring and evil then my threads, but you seem to enjoy them too.

You don't have to circle that character, I've already established that that's the correct order in a previous post. What I'm saying is, before this list was published (1997) by the government, the other "incorrect" way was taught in schools and books.

FWちゃん♥、the only thing that video proves is that writing 方 with the wrong stroke order is an obvious enough mistake that the writers of the show thought their audience would not need it pointed out. Fiction is not data. Dogberry is not a data point on the misuse of words by speakers of Elizabethan English.

If you wanted to actually discuss this, bring some data on actual people. Otherwise, at least try to be a little more amusing. Lately your trolling has gotten a little stale - mix it up, try to break out of this rut you're in. 頑張って！
 
Lol at Thomas and Hezam jumping at the bandwagon here, and neither of them actively study Japanese, makes you wonder why they think their opinion have any weighting on the subject matter.

I have seen plenty of Japanese people writing Kanji in wrong stroke order, wrong structure or even wrong Kanji. But I don't go around video taping them.

No, the mistake is not obvious. What is obvious is

1. Japanese stroke order is confusing as I have poined out in previous threads.

2. Japanese Chinese characters education is lacking.

3. Kanji are taught in the order of frequency instead of structure.

4. Lack of education on calligraphy. Which is manifested by the ugly writings and wrong stroke order.

5. Come up with actual content instead of insults, if this is the quality of the mods of this forum, what kind of example are you setting for members?
 
Still not seeing any data. If you have any actual data on the ability of, say, high school graduates ability to write kanji, that would be of mild interest and I would be willing to discuss it. I am sure native speakers of Japanese sometimes make mistakes writing kanji. And native speakers of Chinese sometimes make mistakes writing hanzi, and native speakers of English sometimes spell words wrong. What of it?

I hope I am setting the example of not taking your trolling too seriously. I find you reasonably tolerable when one assumes that everything you post is a form of performance art.

A final remark: first of all, you wouldn't know whether Hezam or I actively study Japanese. Secondly, it has absolutely no bearing on our right to respond to something we deem highly inappropriate. What triggered Hezam's remark and my reaction was your usual arrogant display of disrespect for your fellow forum members.

Secondly, the only reason you haven't been banned yet - and I agree 100 percent with [MENTION=43778]nekojita[/MENTION] on this one - is that no one takes your pseudo-academic "linguistic" rants and your racial slur seriously. You are a slightly amusing troll, no more.

If you want to be taken seriously, show respect. It works wonders, online and offline.
