Sorry if I insulted you or anyone else. I didn't know that you could find out when ever you wanted. I actually was directing the comment to neptunemoon. I think it is great that you can use the resources at hand and not have to be like "help me...help me". I try to be the same way and respect someone else like that. That is one of the many reasons I respect thomas so much.

Thank you for treating me like I am an idiot. I was just trying to tell neptunemoon whom the advisors were. I think they are doing quite a lovely job at running this forum, and choosing their advisors. I have a lot of respect for thomas. He and I have actually had a number of intelligent conversations peppered in this last year and a half. As I write this and think of the twinge of incompetence that tickled me after reading what you said, I ponder what keeps me motivated everyday to arise from my slumber and face the world窶ｦthank you窶ｦ*sniffle*

I don't understand why it is an issue that people post to the anime/manga and J-Pop parts of the forum. I think it is great that we can provide some where for them to get and swap information in a safe and informative environment. If you don't happen to be into it, don't go into those threads...I don't.

admins take care of the day to day running of the forums and moderate them.
advisors are like moderaters, they edit and move posts to the appropriate places.

I have somewhat mixed feelings on this as well, though, because people with these interests do penetrate the other boards and it tends to change the environment quite perceptibly. Just on the language forum, for instance, if you compare some of the older threads to ones going on now, I think you'd have to say there has been an unfortunate and radical fall-off in terms of depth or seriousness to the topics discussed just over the last six months or so. Coincidentally or not all about the time I joined and started posting as well.....

Since it is impossible to restrict people from signing up or from discussing anime-related topics, stricter moderation is the only option I see. Following Maciamo's advice I have recently added a dropdown menu to the forum's index page that allows members to search specific fora for new posts (and to avoid fora they are not interested in).

Anyhow, I am always open to suggestions. And Elizabeth, my recent offer still stands.

Yeah, I understand it's a situation beyond everyone's control.....we just need something like a subforum for name and letter translation requests from first-time posters.
