Does this makes sense?

たんじょうびのひに ともだちとあいました

ａｎｄ
じゅうじはんでおきました。

First one, I think you could just say たんじょうびに and leave out のひ but I'm not sure. Maybe the equivalent in English is, "On the day of (my) birthday..." but again I'm not sure.

Second one, じゅうじはんにおきました。By the way, じゅうじはん is 10:30, not 10 which is just じゅうじ.

Well, I wondered about the redundancy of 日 (ひ) there, but a quick Google search returns 31.1 million hits for the phrase 誕生日の日. So, yes, it makes sense.

The Japanese says 10:30. 十時 (じゅうじ) is 10 o'clock. The particle should be に. Otherwise good job.
