My friends and I are thinking of renting an apartment in Tokyo for a month.
We have looked at Sakura-House and had a few general questions about renting for a month before committing.
They mentioned that they would need to see a passport and visa, but from what I understand no visa is needed for a stay of our duration when travelling from the US.
Are these types of short lease apartments well equipped to accomodate comfortable sleeping and occasional cooking? Also, my friends and I are just 18, will this be problematic in acquiring a 1 month apartment lease?
Has anyone had an experience staying at such an apartment?

I lived in a "gaijin house" in Minami Shinagawa, Tokyo. It wasn't very luxurious, but it did the job. There are lots of them in Tokyo. Seems like something like that would be ideal for what you're looking for because the rent is month-to-month anyways.
