In my textbook, there are several example sentences illustrating the use of ~ように:
1. これはチョコレートのように見えるけれど、消しゴムだから、食べられま せんよ。
2. 先生がおっしゃるように、言葉が毎日勉強しなければ上 手にならないと思います。

I keep staring at the following sentence... but I just can't seem to interpret it...

3. この写真を見れば分かるように、ロンドンには、色々な 名所がある。
If you look at this photo, then you'll understand that there are many famous places in London?

I don't understand where ように fits in here.
 
Xを見れば分かるように is close to "as you'll see from...".

More 直訳, "as you'll understand if you look at this photo".
