Hello,
1) It says
HERE that ~には困ったものだ means "it's annoying that...". As an example sentence they give
すぐに全部を忘れちゃうなんて、彼
には困ったものだよ。 = " It's annoying that he forgets everything so quickly. "
Could you help me understand how には困ったものだ is made up grammatically? My guess is as follows:
2) I also have a few old sentences with もの that I've wanted to ask about for some time.
a) From よつばと. They went to a pool that's just been renovated. This is their reaction when they first see it.
ジャンボ:なんだきれいになったなー
父さん:立派なもんだ
Is this もの used as "5 ㋑感動する気持ちを強調して示す。 " (
物(もの)の意味 - goo国語辞書)?
b) よつば:ロボットはシュークリームたべないのになー?
恵那:そーだね ロボットはお金しか食べない
もんね
Is もの used here as "thing"? I'd translate it as "Right, robots are things that can only eat money".
c) I think the context here was that Yotsuba received some fireworks from Asagi, so Jambo suggests that they should return the favor.
ジャンボ:よつば…花火をもらったら花火でお礼をしなきゃならんのじゃないか?
よつば:ほーーいいこというな…?
ジャンボ:きれいな花火をあさぎさんに見せてあげたらきっと喜ぶな?
よつば:そーな!はなびきれい
もんな!
Is もの used as " ❷⒈㋑(「ものね」「ものな」などの形で)詠嘆の意をこめて理由を表す。 " (
もの[接助終助]の意味 - goo国語辞書)"?
I am thinking that because she uses きれいもん instead of きれい
なもん, this もの must be a particle, instead of a noun like in the examples above.
