Hi,

1. As the pronunciation of 金色, what is the difference between きんいろ and こんじき?

2. 「僕、こんな足じゃ、どんなに走ったって勝てっこない」

Is 走ったって = 走った + って (supposition)?

1)
The meaning is the same. きんいろ is more common, and こんじき sounds classical.

2)
Yes.

Thanks, if you came across 金色 when reading a story aloud, would you have to make a conscious decision about how to say it based on whether you thought a classical tone was appropriate for the context? Generally speaking, when reading stories aloud in Japanese, are uncertainties over pronunciation choices very common for native speakers?

I would almost always read 金色 as きんいろ. I believe furigana is put on it when it's supposed to be read こんじき. As same as 地 or 金色, I think there usually doesn't exist those kind of uncertainties in common words. The problems are in proper nouns such like person's names or place names.

Thanks, that's interesting.
