I do not know and never tried but it looks like one of net scams.

With gestures, facial expressions and only few words, some people can communicate amazingly well and there is some sort of mindset needed for smooth conversation, so I do not accuse the site for bubbling an outright lie: In fact, if I have to teach English for somebody who goes over to a English speaking country for fun, then I might just only tell them simple grammars and few words and train them to use those, rather than trying to teach anything.

However, learning any language takes at least about 600 hours to reach somewhat usable level of proficiency and that is only with intensive study over a short period of time. Also, at only after 600 hours of learning, probably students won't be able to describe anything accurately.

They say something to do with phonetics and they are absolutely right, but the reason that the majority of language schools cannot provide any help for the students having problem with discerning English phonetics is simply because it is maddeningly hard. I mean, even if language schools tried to teach it, it won't get them any money and, I bet, they end up losing 90% of students on day one: it is ridiculously stressful training oneself to tell apart words that sound exactly same!!
I do not think they have any innovative solution to the problem. They do have a point though, without recognising the sounds used in speech, leaning can be slow, hard and maybe even infertile.

I personally believe listening to music and singing is the best and possibly only approach viable.

So their materials look like for the people who want to try a very casual approach to language study at reasonable price. it is not something that I scowl at, but I think their approach just does not ultimately work and, thus, I regard the course as a sort of scam. Also the way they advertise is nasty, I felt nervous reading their stuff because I felt maybe I don't know something that I should know: they know how to manipulate people pretty well, (shaking first then provide a solution).

ps.
It seems rude to correct mistakes in someone else's posts because people normally do not do it. But would you like me to? I spotted few minors mistakes, your Japanese is pretty good though.

Hi Green Cat, thanks for your reply.

So you're saying that the key to this 'system' has something to do with phonetics?
Is this basically a reverse-engineered Japanese/English pimsleur course?

And yes by all means, please correct my Japanese! I'm always interested in knowing where my mistakes are, thank you! I have a feeling my mistakes are not minor but maybe it can at least be said that they are not major if you understood my post. 'Producing' is infinitely more difficult then 'Recognizing' for some reason, that is, reading is easier than writing, and listening is easier than speaking. Unfortunately I don't get much practice at the former!

Green Cat, here's a quick revised version, maybe I was able to catch some of the mistakes or maybe I made it worse! hehe. Sorry if that makes double the work but I just thought I'd give it a try myself before letting the teacher do all the work. よろしく。

As to their course, I do not think they got anything unique or based on a serious study.

They mention things like phonetics, in order to earn the faith of people. They acknowledge the fact that people vaguely believe to be true and yet others like language schools never mention: Thus, in contrast to those, by mentioning certain things, they make themselves appear more honest and trustworthy. And then, they purport to offer an incredible, magical solution for the problem that we suffer from. Nevertheless, what they promise to deliver us and what they can provide are different, of cause, there is no such things as magic!!!

They are just using a century old marketing technique, "always mix one or two things true in lies", to pursued people to buy their rubbish.

Any language cannot be mastered in just one month, save by some exceptional individuals, particularly when students do not even recognise sounds in the language to be learnt.

Of cause, listening, to dialogues, radio drama, etc, is a good training always but it won't help as much as they claim. And equivalents of what they provide as course material are available free anyway.

It sounds like you are appealing how long you've been working in Japan to your new boss.
Not a mistake but can be slightly confusing.

Conversational English Environment? We can deduce what you mean but never exactly sure. Because if you are Japanese, I think you are working in a place where you have to use English.

僕はこの2年間日本に住んで、英会話の学校で働いています(るんです)。

Probably unnecessary, but sometimes it helps to hear what the other people think about things. So please don't be fended.

With short sentences, you are very coherent, which suggests good conversational skill, and I have a hunch that you won't face much difficulties living in Japan, language wise.
Albeit, it can also mean that you might lack challenges or stimuli in your everyday life to improve your language skills further.

Your grammar is also relatively good, though you need to write regularly and have someone check your grammar etc to improve it.

Your vocabulary size is also good, but you seem to be misusing or not using some of the less common words efficiently. When you use them, try asking yourself if you really know the words you are using well enough and have a dictionary with you.

Most text books or courses do not support students of your level and maybe figuring out what-to-do to improve your Japanese further is hard: it must be a lonely battle. Find someone who's better at Japanese(preferably non-native)and ask for an advice maybe?

One way of training that I am trying, may not be effective for studying Japanese though, is to rephrase a sentence I hear or read and study how the rephrased sentences differ from the original in meaning or connotation. Doing something like this forces me to pay attention to subtle differences in meanings of words.

p.s
Mind telling me 2 or 3 mistakes I've made in the above?
I know I've made many, so you do not have to do it thoroughly, just 2 or 3, because I won't be able to fix them all at once.

Comments
Probably unnecessary, but sometimes it helps to hear what the other people think about things. So please don't be offended.

It is not formal or anything, just often used to say something took a long period of time, like 永に渡って.

Below are all from yahoo.
"42年に渡って助けを最も必要とする人々にかけがえのない支援の手を差し伸べている代表的な民間医療団体である。"

"長年に渡って教授陣、 コンサルタント、 制作企画 担当者、さらに日本やアメリカの企業と協力し合い、 数々の成功"ð 収めてきました。 ..."

"最長となる3時間半に渡って開催されたカウントダウン・ライヴ「ayumi ..."

"永に渡ってもてはやされるだろう"
All these sentences are trying to say we've been doing something long or something took tong.

Definition is like this
7 ある時間・期間とぎれずに引き続く。「長時間に―・って論議する」「十年に―・る大工事」
サービス終了のお知らせ
But connotation wise, it is a word that emphasise a length of time(I wrote a period and what was confusing).

Um, you made few mistakes above. I will post what is wrong later.

Anyway, here let us stick with それに。
I think it is a marker issue. With your original sentence, what you intended to say could be understood but was not suggested very clearly. Because there was not any other words that suggested it or bind sentences together.

I have been working as a Language school teacher in Japan for the past two years And I started studying Japanese 2 years and half ago. Compared to the other people who speak English as their 1st language, maybe I am learning faster.

The thing is, some people do learn faster than the others and even among the people who are working as a English teacher in Japan, there are slow learners and fast learners. If you are making comparison to the people in similar condition, which is fair, then your being English teacher in Japan cannot be a special reason for your learning Japanese quicker than the others.

「それに」って、関係のあるものを重ねている 表現なんですね。
僕の英語を教えた経験と、僕の日本語を勉強 していることから感じるんですが、後で触れる日本語と英語の違いと, この「それに」を間違って使ってしまったことが関係を持っているかもしれないと。

Maybe practice breaking down giant sentence like above into a paragraph like below using connecting words?

To answer your question, it is fault of bad translators and dictionaries. Words obviously have range of different meanings and books often do not cover them completely. Else I did not have to ask questions like below:
Help me with some more phrases please

Thanks for reading, having somebody to write to is a bliss for me because writing improves my English for sure but writing to myself is...
Anyway, I know you are busy but if you could point out some more of my mistakes that would be really nice: mistakes are incredibly hard to find by myself. I am not in rush, so please take your time though.
Also, maybe you have a study tip or two for me?

Maybe practice breaking down giant sentences like 2) the one above into a paragraph like the one below using connecting words?

To answer your question, it is 3)the fault of bad translators and dictionaries. Words obviously have 4)a range of different meanings and books often do not cover them completely. Otherwise, 5)I would not have had to ask the questions below.
Help me with some more phrases please

Thanks for reading. Having somebody to write to is bliss for me because writing improves my English for sure but writing to myself is...
Anyway, I know you are busy but if you could point out some more of my mistakes that would be really nice: mistakes are incredibly hard to find by myself. I am not in rush, so please take your time though.
Also, maybe you have a study tip or two for me?
Hi.

Sorry my reply is late, we had a ヒ?ケ窶堙昶?「テコ窶佚ィ at my place this weekend and I was very busy organizing it and cleaning up!

I will write in English because explaining English grammar in Japanese is beyond my brain capacity at this hour but more importantly it isn't helpful for you either, I think. At your level, learning English in English is the only way to go in most cases.

Most of your mistakes are small.

1) Here, you forgot 'you'. English constantly needs subjects to be clearly defined even when unnecessary. Also, it's a matter of feeling but since this whole exercise has been largely focused on grammar and usage of phrases such as '窶堋サ窶堙ェ窶堙?, 'more often' is needed because without it it sounds like I haven't been using them at all. At the very least, we can say I have tried in this thread, so we must indicate 'additional' practice is necessary.

2) You said 'sentences' so the corresponding pronoun is required when further elaborating so we know what you're referring to. The 's' was needed because you said 'giant sentence', not 'a giant sentence', so the singular was not indicated.

3,4) Here you need some particles. They're common mistakes and I'm sure they need no explanation. I would imagine that for Japanese learners of English, English is overly precise and it's a pain in the *** to remember to add every little bit. It is however the mark of polished English to include them all.

5) Here, the context is derived from an imaginary setting. You said that not all meanings are covered in books, therefore you must ask. As an unreal conditional situation, the only way you could avoid/could have avoided asking such questions is IF they were. But they are not, so you must.

->If all meanings were contained in books I would not have had/needed to create the post below.

Quite often the first part of the clause, the 'if such and such' is not stated, it is understood, so the usage of 'would/could/should have' appears almost out of nowhere, or alternatively, the necessity to use 'would/could/should have' is unclear.

I hope the above corrections were of use to you.
Overall you make very few mistakes, to the degree that most native speakers would find it cumbersome to help you correct them because whereas we 'feel' the language you seek rules and explanations to help manage it as an acquired faculty. I suppose the only remedy for that would be time.

Thanks again for your help. If you have any further major corrections please send them to the email I will provide by private message, as this would be easier to continue by way of exchanging word document files, due to the limited formatting capability of this dialogue box.

:-)

That is something to think about, at first I considered your problem to be vocabulary knowledge(not size), but now maybe there is something to do with grammar or semantic structure of sentences?

Well, I am a little afraid that maybe correcting your mistakes over and over discourages you or offends you (because many of us do, unfortunately), but since I assume you are teaching yourself and you are not obliged to make post everyday, I will go ahead and explain what went wrong.

Thus, C 窶堙娯?堋ィ窶堋ゥ窶堋ー窶堙? D (Thanks to C, D happened) can be simplified as "Thanks to the speed of something I become able to do something". Looks fine.

But, in your specific case, feeling the difference is relevant to the speed of learning? Normally we understand things eventually either we do it fast or slow unless we keep forgetting what we learnt.

So, I end up moving clauses around.

Because I am working at a language school and I know the difference between Japanese and English, I probably have learnt Japanese faster than standard learners.

Well, I went over how I read it step by step. Hope this helps.

And one thing, studying and working at once can be very stressful, so take it easy and don't push your-self too much. Always better staying healthy and cheerful than studying too much and getting oneself sick.
