Hi,

Does 処方せんというのは何か mean "What is 処方せん?" (i.e. "What does the word 処方せん mean?"), and 考えてください is asking the student to consider that question?

Translation given: "It's the prevention of migraines during daily life that's important, not dealing with migraines when they occur."

(Actually, it seems to me as if the sense is more like "not only ... but".)

Does いく emphasise continuing/ongoing prevention?

My translation: "Then, as soon as I eventually get my medicine, I'll have to wait to pay at the cashier's office..."

Does 今度 mean that the speaker has to pay on this visit, but has not had to pay on previous visits?

4. From a medicine label:

一日 3 回 7 日分

a) I'm assuming the first part means "(take) one three times a day", but what is the rest of it? Could it be saying that the pack contains enough for 7 days? Is 日分 a known compound? I can't seem to find it in the dictionary.

Then it says 食前 食後 食間, with 食後 ringed, and then

b) 時間毎 is confusing me, and, also, I don't see how this information is compatible with what's been said. I'm wondering if this text is supposed to be completed, ringed, deleted, etc. as applicable. Like maybe you could write 6時間毎 if that was applicable, to mean "every six hours", or you would ring 朝 to mean take it in the morning. But, since nothing is ringed or highlighted, maybe you are supposed to ignore this and just follow the earlier "three times a day after meals" instruction?

c) Later on are the words 個宛服用 and 包宛服用. What do these mean? I know 服用, but not the other stuff. Some kind of obscure counters maybe??

1)
I don't know the context, but it's also possible to interpret "what can be a prescription for solution?"

2)
Exaxtly.

3)
then/after that

4) a)
Yes, the pack is for seven days(i.e., for 21 times).

That's not "7 + 日分", but "7日 + 分".

b)
That's right. The label is made for versatile use. When 食後 is ringed, you can ignore the rest part.

c)
This is also for versatile use. If a patient needs to take two capsules/tablets/pills a time, 個宛服用 is ringed and "2" is written before it. 包宛服用 is for (blended) powdered medicine.

Thank you.

1. The context is:

下のプロセス refers to an explanation of the procedure followed when visiting a hospital (check in at reception, be directed to the appropriate department, etc. etc.)

Does that make it any clearer? I think my interpretation seems a bit odd in this context, but I can't quite figure out what yours would mean either...

3. Is my suggestion for 今度 completely impossible or just not likely in the overall context?

1)
Hmm, it seems to me to refer to the contents of the prescription that the person received.

3)
That's not 今度は会計でお金を払って, i.e., the interpretation that the speaker has to wait on this visit, but has not had to wait on previous visits is barely possible. Although 今回は is more common for the case.
