ただでさえ、女子の手作りクッキーをいただくなんてのは、他の男子たちの嫉妬の的だ。
しかもそれが、転入直後から、彼女にしたい女子レンキングを駆け上がった(と噂の)あの夜刀神十香のものだというのである。
一番近いところだと、すぐ近くにいた友人の殿町宏人までもが虚な眼差しで、「ファック、ファック、ファァァァック……死んだ五河だけがいい五河だ」などと呟いていた。

ところ doesn't only refer to location. It can be relation.
