Hi all, i was wondering if we use the word 一生懸命, is the "ni" particle required after it, or is it totally optional (and there is no impact in the naunce / meaning of the sentence)

When followed by verb, ni is optional.

一生懸命頑張る
一生懸命に頑張る

I do not think に changes the meaning/nuance drastically, but 一生懸命 without に sounds more common and generic to me, while 一生懸命に is more descriptive and some emphasis on 一生懸命.
(Just my gut feeling, it could be only me... )

When followed by noun, particle な is used.

一生懸命な人
一生懸命な毎日
