I don't understand this phrase

もしもの事 - a rare, unlikely, unexpected, etc, happening. In some cases it may be used to refer to, for example, disaster preparation (not sure of your context).

もし and もしも are often used as "if". You've probably heard/seen them in combination with ~たら or other conditional forms.
