I can't understand this "dekimashite"...
The whole sentence reads:
(talking about a house)
広いことは広いですが、もう40年も前に父が建てたうちですから、あちこちいたんできましてね。
I'd just say "あちこちいたんですね", you know...
My house is a commodious one but there are quite a few places that need repair. Because my house has built by my father before 40 years.

Well, I think your English is by far better than my Japanese... :sorry:
Anyway: my house is big indeed, but a few places need fixing, because my father built it 40 years ago.
Don't worry. Until you get into heavily kanji stuff, I think this is a hardship you have to live with. My roommate tried to get me to play some pokemon crap on his Gameboy years ago, but it took me ages to read everything b/c it was in hiragana. IE -- the words tend to "run together". I'm a poor reader in English to being with.
