ちょっと / どう思うか... / と / なんとかなりませんか

Hello,

1. そこがどんなところかちょっと分かりません。

My translation: "I don't know what sort of place that is."

Is this right? What is the purpose of ちょっと here?


2. どう思うかと聞かれても、よく知らないので・・・

Assuming the subject to be a third party I translated as:

"Even if you ask him what he thinks, he doesn't really know..."

(lit. "Even if he is asked 'what do you think?'...")

Is this reasonable? (It's an isolated example sentence, so there is no more context.)


3. アナウンサと親切

This is the title of a text about train announcements, but how should と be interpreted here? Is it anything more than simply "and"? Translating as "and" sounds a bit weird in English...


4. 駅のホームと車内の放送はなんとかなりませんか。

Does なんとかなりませんか mean "can't something be done (about)?"

The subject is the speaker. If it's a third person, the form should be どう思うか聞かれても、よく知らないでしょうから….

It has a nuance of アナウンサーにとっての親切/アナウンサーとしての親切 or "kindness (for customers) as an announcer".

It's a form for a complaint/request; "Can't you do something about~?"
