Hi,
My translation: "As you say, Kiara, the most famous 浮世絵師 of the 1830s were 安藤広重 and 葛師北斎."
I am having a mental blank about modifying clauses with だった.
My translation: "The two travelled Japan together, and left a record (of their travels)."
Somehow I feel uncertain about 回り. Is it the stem of 回る, used in the usual way as an alternative to the て form; i.e. 旅行して回り・・・ has the same meaning as 旅行して回って・・・?
My translation: "広重 was also better at selling his works than 北斎, so was (more) successful."
What is the purpose of ても here? The dictionary meaning is "even if; even though", but I don't see how that fits the context.
a) I understand the last part to mean "he continued to paint until he was 90". I do not understand the purpose of the first part. To me it looks like "All he could paint/draw were paintings and woodcuts", but that emphasis does not seem right in the context.
b) Also, who/what is the subject of して?
