Since 'keredo' means "however,but, although" etc., Why would it need to be at the end of a sentence such as the example above? This sentence seems like a finished statement to me. ☝

I think it's sort of the same as adding 'ga' to the end. Sort of like, "I'd like to try on this dress but..."

Simply put its a way of making a direct statement seem less direct or "harsh".

Its true that keredo/kedo means "but and however" but it can also be used to soften direct statements/requests.
