Can anyone translate, what does がち means in Japanese?

A young person uses it and, with "がち(Gachi)," is used in a meaning to be "really"," earnest", "seriously".
The etymology is "がちんこ(gachinko)".

"がちんこ(gachinko)"= << secret language of the sumo world >>
A serious game that is not match-fixing.
competing in earnest.
Lesson to perform seriously.
