Help to translate 2 POW cards

I am researching 2 chaps who are remembered on my local war memorial of Cockermouth in Cumbria. I have got the copys of their POW cards and I would like them translated if possible please.

First is for a John Henry Turrell.

My second one is for a William Morton.

You may find this list (PDF) helpful in deciphering some of the stamps.

Dates are in Japanese era, year/month/day - so 昭和 (Showa) 17 = 1942, and so on.

On the front, John Henry Turrell's camp is stamped "Malay"
On the back, he was ill from 昭和18 (1943) June 6 and died the same year, August 7th.
Cause of death, 大腸炎 (colitis, as translated there).
death location in Thailand, somewhere in Kanchanaburi (カンチャナブリ県), I'm having trouble deciphering the full location.
土葬 - buried, location ソニクライ? (sonikurai)
He had probably been taken to work on the Burma railway.

William Morton was initially in a camp in Java, then was moved to 福岡 (Fukuoka, red writing at top).
Back of the card shows that he was transferred to Fukuoka, 17th Nov 1942, became ill on the 24th of November, and died of acute colitis on the 30th - 8.45am.
Place of death/burial both somewhere in Kumamoto City (熊本市), which was close to the Fukuoka camp
The last date is in December 1945 - "same place" and 引渡ス - his remains may have been moved (probably to Yokohama War Cemetery, where he is commemorated on the CWGC website)

I will try to figure out more exact places when I have time.

The place name in the first document is ソンクライ "Sonkurai". It seems there was a POW camp there.
