Tourism Tokyo Disney to open new luxury hotel

The Oriental Land Company, which owns Tokyo Disney Resort, recently unveiled a high-end hotel to the press as a part of their strategy to use the resort's theme parks to become a leading hotel operator in Japan.

Located within Tokyo DisneySea, the Fantasy Springs Hotel is set to open on 6 June alongside the new Fantasy Springs section of the park. This will be the sixth Disney hotel by the company. The hotel features two separate buildings with varying rates: the Fantasy Chateau, with rooms beginning at 66,000 JPY per night, and the Grand Chateau, offering the most luxurious rooms starting at 341,000 JPY per night.

Grand Chateau rooms have an interior area of 70 sq. meters or larger, with separate living rooms and bedrooms. Some rooms can accommodate as many as six people, offering balcony views of Fantasy Springs. [...] Disney hotels have such perks as early theme park entry. The room occupancy rate for the properties came to 99% for the April-December period of 2023—far above the roughly 70% to 80% of typical hotels.[...] The Fantasy Springs Hotel incorporates a new pricing strategy. A special ticket sold exclusively to hotel guests will let them visit attractions in the new area at any time with virtually no wait. Prices range from 22,900 to 25,900 JPY, with the lowest being nearly three times that of a regular adult one-day ticket.
