Located in Sydney, Powerhouse Museum is the largest museum group in Australia. It sits at the intersection of the arts, design, science and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is custodian to more than half a million objects of national and international significance, and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia.
Presently, we are engaged in a research project aimed at unveiling more narratives within our digitised collection. The focus is on researching Powerhouse Objects to discover additional information, delving into aspects such as the objects' history, materials, design, and provenance.
We have 2 unique black and white bowls and goblet that we know little about and wondering if someone could assist us please? We have various photos in the link below which includes a signature on the base. It was purchased in 1885-6. Do we know what type of ware it is please?
